Poker AI is an educational odds and equity calculator for Texas Hold'em. This page explains what data we process when you use the app or the pokerapp.ai website, what we use it for, who we share it with and how you can delete it. The data controller is Westvurm LLC ("we"). Write to support@pokerapp.ai with any question.
When you use photo reading, the image travels encrypted to our server (Supabase, European Union region) and from there to OpenAI, which returns the recognised cards and an explanation of the hand. We do not keep the photo once it has been processed. OpenAI does not use API requests to train its models. The resulting hand (cards, equity, outs) is saved only on your device.
What you type in the chat about a hand is sent to OpenAI together with that hand's context (cards, board, equity) to generate the answer. It does not include your name, email or any identifier of yours.
When the app is installed it generates a random identifier used to remember your subscription without an account. It is not the system advertising identifier and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
If you choose to sign up with your email, we store the email and the sign-up date in Supabase (European Union). You can delete the account from the Profile tab in the app; it is removed immediately along with the associated data.
Subscriptions are bought and billed through the App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat validates the receipts and tells us whether the subscription is active. We never see or store your card details.
If the app crashes, Sentry receives a report with the device model, OS and app version and the error trace. It contains no photos and no hand content.
If you ask to be notified at launch or write to us, we store your name, email, phone (if given), the interests you tick, an approximate country and a hashed version of your IP address to prevent abuse. We only email you if you ticked the consent box. You can unsubscribe with the link in every email or by writing to us.
We use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation, and only if you accept analytics cookies in the banner. If you choose "Essential only", it is not loaded.
Only the providers needed to run the app. Each processes data on our behalf under contract:
Transfers to providers in the United States rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. We do not pass data to any other third party.
You can access your data, correct it, delete it, object to its processing or request a portable copy. To delete the account use the option in the app; for everything else write to support@pokerapp.ai. We reply within 30 days. If you believe we are mishandling your data you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
The app is for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if you believe a minor has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
All traffic goes over HTTPS. Data in Supabase is encrypted at rest and access is limited to the people who maintain the app.
We will publish any change on this page and update the date above. If a change affects how we use your data, we will let you know in the app.
